Dance documentaries about the creative process usually take a formulaic approach. Introduce the company/artist, watch them create a piece, experience the trials and tribulation in the run up to the final performance (which you end up not seeing). Movement One is about a company making a dance film and uniquely, you see the full dance film at the end. And Ponydance The Movie? It’s pretty much the same, just not so serious….

A documentary following the creative process of producer/composer Jon Arpino and Emmy-nominated choreographer Teddy Forance as they create an original dance production for film. In just 8 days, 20 dancers collaborated to choreograph, perform and film a 30-minute dance production set to an original score. The film takes viewers into the studio for a unique view of the creative process from choreography to music composition, concluding with the full production.
